So, follow the advises given below or check out the list of monsoon diseases as they would help you stay protected against mosquito bite no matter which hotel, home-stay, camp or jungle lodge you plan to spend your holiday in.

  1. Wear mosquito repellents:

It is the best way to prevent mosquito bite and stay out of the reach of mosquitoes. Wearing a good quality and natural mosquito repellent cream or mosquito repellent lotion like Odomos will provide 99.9% protection against mosquito bite, have no side effect on your skin and make its effect stay on you for more than 10 hours. And because it is made with natural ingredients, it is safe for use on children, gets easily absorbed by the skin and smells great too. It is easy to carry in your travel kit as it is available in spray, gel and wrist band formats.

  2. Dress to repel mosquitoes:

Step out wearing light coloured clothes as mosquitoes easily get attracted to dark colours. Also, for extra protective measures, cover yourself up in full sleeves shirts, t-shirts & trousers as mosquitoes find it hard to bite through fabric.

  3. Shower frequently:

To stay out of the reach of the mosquitoes, you’ve got to do this! Mosquitoes easily get attracted to the smell of sweat and if you are holidaying in a humid or hot area, chances are, the mosquitoes are most probably going to smell you from a mile. To avoid mosquitoes coming your way, try and bathe as much as you can. Take a dip in the pool or any water body in the surrounding area to get rid of the sweat and wipe your body clean with a towel or cloth before stepping out again.

  4. Avoid going near water bodies:

Damp, cool and dark spaces are a breeding ground for mosquitoes. Mosquitoes are known to be present around still or stagnant water bodies. So, if you can avoid going near such places while traveling, it would help you stay protected against an eventual mosquito bite. But if in case there is no way you can avoid it then:
